We're all going on a - winter holiday... Part Four

I'm not sure whether you remember Kat and Goran with whom we visited Beijing in January 2009? Well we managed to meet them halfway between C-U and their home - in Indianapolis. We caught up for lunch and then visited the Children's Museum. Actually, don't tell Kat and Goran this, but the main driving factor to meeting them was to finally be introduced to "Beano" - Kat was pregnant last we'd seen them. Gorgeous Natalia sure was grown up when we finally met her!The Children's Museum is wonderful - it has dinosaurs "bursting" out of the building! Mummy tried to get a photo but could never get in a good spot to do it justice. Even better, it has trains. From real large-sized ones to model ones whizzing around on tracks. Sebastien could happily have spent all day there. There were also several play areas where kids got to play with sand, water, dress-ups and houses, and mechanical things as well as the usual slides etc. We had taken along another friend, Priscilla, and she really enjoyed taking Alex on the carousel.A special "under twos" area allowed Natalia to enjoy herself too.
The place was pretty crowded - it was a weekend after all - and these hand-cycling trucks were
very popular! Sebastien isn't the only one interested in driving trucks. There was a Barbie exhibit there and Priscilla and Mummy took Alex for a look. A little ho-hum and perhaps aimed at the older teens and their mums. Alex was not interested in anything other than dressing up (and most of the stuff was already being used) but not interested in walking out onto the catwalk (she was more interested in being behind the lens). Oh, and there was the Barbie desk with phone that she was interested in - then again, she's always been interested in telephones...heaven help us when she hits teenage-hood!

Oh, and Sebastien found another train table...this kid has a homing device. This one also had "pop-up" holes in it.

At the end of the day, Alex got swung around by Goran which she loves.
And we posed by the water clock - well, Sebastien is climbing up the stairs in the background.Pri was very good natured about Alex's meltdown - she wanted Mummy to sit in the back on the way home - but as Mummy's butt was too wide only Pri could fit. She was a good sport about it. It was a two hour drive home and we were happy to finally get home - but it was wonderful to have seen our friends!
