We're all going on a - winter holiday... Part Six

We had a long-anticipated play date with four wonderful friends (and siblings) at Mary's house. We turn up and...

Ta da!! Welcome to your "American Birthday Party" Alex!

Wow. What a surprise! Those crafty ladies had kept a surprise from us and we had a ball. There were toys to play with, dress ups to wear (enough for everyone too) and, of course, party food. Oh, and I got to hold precious J again who had also arrived in our absence. What a cutie! Those lovely ladies:And do you believe that there are at least six kids in this playhouse?? (And that little blond cutie on the left was a wee babe in arms the last time I saw her.)
There were even presents for Alex to open - these guys think of everything.

We were so excited to just have a play date - to see our friends and to play at someone's house that it was overwhelming to know that they had gone to this extra trouble.

Alex was so excited - and I must admit to having felt sad for her that we were in the States a whole month before her "real" birthday and that we'd be heading back to China to celebrate...on our own. Now, Alex confidently tells me that she has three birthdays - there's her American birthday, her Australian birthday and then her China birthday. I tell her not to push her luck :)
