Ever since friends of ours (Trish and her daughter Olivia) gave Alex a batch of books - many of which were about Barbie or princesses - she has read them over and over again. This is, and has been for a while now, her favorite. Barbie's "Riding Champion" is now a staple and has morphed from a bedtime reading favorite, to an imagination "let's play daddy!" game. Here she is in her "riding boots" (rainboots from Australia) and "riding pants" (still teaching her about jodhpurs, Aunty Chelle). Of course, Alex's horse is always white and always called "Rosebud"...just like Barbie's. She's ready to have her first horse-riding lesson any day now Aunty Chelle...

Riding Champion...

So far she has ridden on Rosebud, led her around by her leash, congratulated her on her excellent dancing skills (in particular her turning around). As far as horses go, she's perfect - no feeding, grooming or cleaning up after!
At Christmas, I found my jodphurs, gloves, velvet helmet, bit, ribbons, books & horse scrapbook, all of which are now in the toybox at my place ready for Alex!
And I live 200m from a riding school now...can't wait to take her!!
