Feeling homesick as the weather here lately has been awful (highs of 19F lows of 6F plus a windchill that drives the temperatures even lower...) so I decided it must be high time to bake some warm damper for lunch. Alex helped out (mainly by keeping Sebastien otherwise occupied) and even with having to convert the all purpose flour to SR flour, it didn't turn out that bad - maybe a little too dense in the middle. Add to a slice of just-out-of-the-oven damper some butter and "lashings of Golden Syrup" and you have - mmmm!
And I think that Alex agreed too!(Yes, we are raising a little "naturalist" - or just keeping the home heating up too high...)
