Yes, Brett accepted an offer of employment there teaching (in english) and researching economics at WISE (Wang Yanan Institute for Studies in Economics) at Xiamen University.
He is starting on 1st September 2008 so needs to finish up his PhD in the next 6 months.
We will be in China for at least 12 months - maybe up to six years if all goes well. It is likely that we will be moving to China in July/August this year so if you still wish to see us in the USA, you need to hurry up!
Meanwhile, I'm looking at learning Mandarin...so adding another language to my list. Hoping to have more than a rudimentary grasp by August - so wish me luck!
