Halloween in China - take two!

This year there seemed to be a dearth of activity related to Halloween. At the eleventh hour, a restaurant offered a Halloween event for dinner and we decided to attend. Sebastien was meant to be a pirate (loving Captain Feathersword as he does) but wouldn't wear either the hat or eyepatch...and the sword broke the first time the older kids misappropriated it. Alex was, surprise surprise, a fairy princess - Ann might recognise part of the outfit. First, we had to finish our pumpkins - the flesh was too thick so we used "press in" face pieces. Then it was off to the Havana Restaurant. Once we got there we had enough time for a few games of "Red light green light" and then it was time to pin the tail on an animal.Sebastien, our child-of-routine, decided to ransack the bread basket while he assessed the situation. Then thought that he'd try it out for himself. All of this had been a diversion to allow the raising of the pinata - for there was to be no trick or treating. The result: A tanguo/candy free-for-all.Then the kids played together nicely until it was well past their usual bedtimes. The girls were especially attracted to the stage area - thankfully the staff were accommodating. I love this photo of Sebastien - it makes me think of those "morning after the night before" ones. And so another Halloween passes in China - two now. Should we perhaps try for our next one in Australia for something different?
