School Week Six

Alex seemed to be super wired from school this week. She's taken to "tapping" people ie hitting them, to emphasise her feelings. This combined with some outright defiance made for a draining week. She would often meltdown on the way home from school and this led to her going to her room at home. She's also started lying about things.

For example:
Me: Are you wearing my rings? (rings are on her fingers in plain sight)
Alex: No.

Me: Did you just hit your brother? (having caught her out of the corner of my eye hitting her hand on his arm in the carseat next to her whilst saying 'Don't look at me Sebastien!')
Alex: No.

It's driving me crazy. Trying to emphasise that the trouble comes from lying about what she's done is very difficult.

She still isn't napping at school which is not helping things either.

No artwork from school - but on a positive note, no accident/incident report either!

We had 4 students suspended today for "tapping" It's cool here to hit & run - I guess it starts young!
