Family time!

A huge part of returning to Australia is our ability to spend a lot of time with family. We are fortunate in that more than half of Mummy and Daddy's siblings reside in Canberra. We love to spend time with all of them and all for different reasons.

It was Saturday and we had many plans. We had arranged for any of Brett's family who could come to BBQ at our place in Watson - a nice change to invite people to our place. We were also expecting Grandie to fly in for the week (unfortunately Poppie had work - Grandie was dividing her stay with Aunty Chelle and us) and Mummy's friend KP was visiting us just for the day and night (as Mummy had missed her birthday celebration the last time she'd been in Australia).

Mummy and the kids joined Aunty Chelle to pick up Grandie from the airport. While we waited for her delayed flight (fog - ugh!) we enjoyed a hot chocolate. Then Alex went a little crazy with the camera...Grandie was soon on the scene though - it was great to see her! We had so much to tell her. We headed back to Watson where Daddy had been hard at work organizing things for the BBQ - and we discovered that all his siblings had made it there, as well as his parents! Wow! Aunty Annie had some cool things for Chelsea and Alex to colour Sebastien was just happy to walk the washing trolley around. He was in remarkably good spirits for someone strapped up!Just the lads
now all the siblings! Do you see a family resemblance?
We had a great BBQ lunch with the Grahams, Grandie and KP and then it all went quiet as people left. Don't let that sunshine deceive you - as soon as the sun went behind the house it was bitterly cold! But as we were used to having Brazillian BBQs in the snow in Illinois (yes, where it was so cold that the beer turned to slush) it was nice and warm for us. Mummy enjoyed some champagne (or should that be sparkling?) relaxation time with KP. We had lots to do the next day too so a relatively early night for all.
