Christmas in Xiamen

We had arrived home late on Christmas Eve. Mummy had expected zero Christmas decorations because, well, Daddy isn't all that into it. That would have been ok, we'd decorated three trees in Australia, but our friend Ellie was on the case: she'd asked Brett whether he needed a hand with his decorating (hint hint). So he had put up a few decorations before we arrived. We'd managed to set out some snacks and a beverage for Santa and his reindeers and boy, was he hungry! There was nothing left, not even crumbs or the end of the carrot! We might have had a late night, but we were up early to see whether we'd been naughty or nice. Daddy had the honour of passing out the presents.Of course, only Alex was appropriately attired for the occasion - perhaps she'd missed her dressups whilst on holiday?!Sebastien was taken by his Thomas books and these have become the staples of his reading life - they are very "worn" now although not yet torn (5 months later).
We had Christmas lunch at Geo Geo Cafe and a very relaxing time - given that the 25th December is only a half-day holiday in Xiamen. Back to school tomorrow!

He seems like his Dad, manages to do the right thing at exactly the right time.
