Time in Canberra

We were to spend two more weeks in Canberra before moving on and managed to fill our time with many visits to family as well as the requisite doctor, dentist and optometrist visits. We managed to arrange babysitting from almost every family member too :)

Still not quite acclimated to the Canberra winter, the kids had finally worked out the best place to read stories.Mummy and Daddy went to a trivia night put on by a soccer club - and their table won! (Those are relay batons from the Melbourne Commonwealth Games that we each won.)Daddy and Alex cooked a lovely chocolate slice and "hid" it under a cardboard box on the table for Mummy to find - luckily Alex had let it slip on the trip home from the airport :)Sebastien managed to take another tumble and put enough teeth through his lip to earn a lovely bruise.Alex planted some "thank you for looking after me when Sebastien was in hospital" flowers for Aunty Lyndall and Uncle Pip. All Sebastien wanted to do was water them. It was around this time that we worked out that the focus wasn't working properly on our camera...guess we'll be looking to buy something to replace it when we get back to China!

Alex enjoyed talking to anyone who called us - she has a certain affinity with the phone - sometimes she'll even have a conversation with you.And so our time came to an end - we cleaned the house, packed the car and headed for the snow!
